Mighty Warriors arrayed in Splendor

Psalm 21:2-6 You gave him his heart's desire. You did not refuse the prayer from his lips. You welcomed him with the blessings of good things and set a crown of fine gold on his head. He asked you for life. You gave him a long life, forever and ever. Because of your victory his glory is great. You place splendor and majesty on him. Yes you made him a blessing forever....

Mighty warriors when this battle here on earth is over; the King of glory will welcome us into His kingdom. In exchange for our helmets He will place a crown upon our heads; an emblem of royalty.....

Tears in a bottle

God’s Tenderness

In the book of Psalms the writer reveals another glimpse into the tender-hardheartedness of God's character towards His children.

8~You keep track of all my sorrows.
You have collected all my tears in your bottle.
You have recorded each one in your book. Psalms 56:8 NLT

This is a beautiful example of God’s love. Our tears are so precious in His sight that He stores them all in a bottle and records them in His book.

I am amazed by God's compassion and loving kindness towards mankind.

His word is full of precious verses revealing His true character and nature to all He has created. All God desires is to make himself known; and to lavish His love on us.  He has sent an invitation to us through His son Jesus Christ to open up our hearts to receive His love and accept Him.

9~My enemies will retreat when I call to you for help.
This I know: God is on my side!

Father God is fully aware of our daily lives; His loving and protective nature keeps a watchful eye over our whereabouts. When we are afraid; we can cry out to Him for help.  God is for us; He is alert and ready to rescue us from danger. We can fully put our trust in Him.

In God I trust

Today as I was checking the news feed on face book. I stumbled across a note I had written in June of 2011. As I read the note again, I tried to remember what crisis I was facing when I wrote my declaration of faith with such conviction.

Then I remembered that last year I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA). I was in extreme pain in my feet and had difficulty walking. I remember feelings of despair and hopelessness. I found myself in a crisis of belief.

The questions... WHY? and Where do I go from here? Well I found myself again at the foot of the cross and choosing to put my trust & hope in Christ.

Today I sit here looking back at that time and see the victory God has given me over my RA. It is in remission and for the most part I'm pain free and active again.

I'm posting this note in hope that it will encourage others but mostly as a reminder to me. That God is faithful to those who choose to put their trust in him.

DECLARATION OF FAITH 06-19-2011

As I face this crisis in my life; I choose to believe God is who He says He is & that He loves me.

I believe God is in control of all things according to His holy word. (Psalms 103:19). And He works ALL things for my good according to His purposes to conformed my character to the likeness of His son Jesus Christ (Romans 8:28-29). I choose not to lose heart when I don't understand WHY? (Isaiah 55:8-9) And in ALL things I choose to be thankful. For God has begun a good work in me & He is faithful to complete it. Father God establish this TRUTH deep inside my heart & mind so I will trust in your unfailing love & choose to follow you forever.
