Brown County

This past week my husband and I attended a photography workshop at the beautiful State park of Brown County Indiana. We stay at Abe Martin Lodge; beautiful location and great food. Our instructors for the week were photographer Bill Fortney of His Light Workshops and Jim Haverstock. We also had the privilege of meeting Bill's dear friend photographer Fred Sisson. Who graciously hosted a photo shoot in an old antique shop for all of us and offered up some great advice for taken better photos.

We met some wonderful new friends...shared some laughs, had fun and took some great shots. Our favorite thing about this workshop was the fellowship with other brothers and sisters in Christ.

I love this photo....a great group of photographers and new friends.

Sky Crystals

Recently, I discovered a wonderfully talented photographer from Canada named Don Komarechka who has captured the beautiful art of snowflake photography.

In his recently published book titled SKY CRYSTALS...Don unravels the mystery of snowflakes by sharing the many different types as well as the science physics which creates these beautiful sky crystals; commonly known to most of us as snowflakes.

His work is a culmination of nearly 2000 hours over four years. He explains in his book shooting techniques he used to capture these stunning images. He also explains his workflow completely through the editing process to the finish image.

I've purchased this incredible book for myself and one as a gift for another photographer enthusiast. I love love love it! Full of beautiful images and a wealth of information.

All I can say is...Be ready to be Amazed by this talented artist and photographer.
