The Blessing of the Hounds
The Woodford Hounds Club
annual "Blessing of the Hounds" hosted at Shaker Village. The first Saturday after Thanksgiving the Riders and their horses are all glamored up for the occasion. Once the Blessing is given the Riders & foxhounds begin the hunt through the cascading hill side. A huge crowd of photographers and spectators attend this exciting event each year.

Beautiful shots Nevalee. I have always enjoyed attending the Blessing of the Hounds. Quite a wonderful event

The weather was not as cold as last year which made the event more weather friendly for those who love taking photos...There were lots of photographers taking pictures some I bet will make the Herald. Sorry you missed it this time I hope you make it next year.
